With their recent $15,000 contribution, Verizon has helped The Immokalee Foundation fund two significant educational projects—the Career Pathways Learning Lab and their annual CEO Leadership Summit.

The Immokalee Foundation is building an 18-home subdivision in Immokalee that serves as a hands-on professional career experience for the Foundation’s students. Known as the Career Pathways Learning Lab, this unique project enables students following the Foundation’s Career Pathways curriculum for Engineering & Construction Management and Business Management & Entrepreneurship to work with industry professionals and learn about land development, home construction, marketing and sales.

Verizon’s $10,000 contribution covers the cabinetry cost for a home, enabling the Foundation to help another deserving family get one step closer to realizing their dream of home ownership.

As Networking Sponsor, Verizon also helped fund the Foundation’s annual CEO Leadership Summit this year. Open to the public, the Summit enables Immokalee Foundation high school students to learn from, interact with, and draw inspiration from high-profile business leaders throughout SW Florida.

“Our CEO Leadership Summit is one of my favorite events of the year,” said Immokalee Foundation President and CEO Noemi Y. Perez. “It’s wonderful to witness the students we support engaging in meaningful conversations with some of Southwest Florida’s most prolific leaders. Through Verizon’s targeted focus on our Learning Lab Home Construction Project and CEO Leadership Summit, they ultimately impacted a significant number of the students we support. We are profoundly grateful.”
