NAPLES, Fla. (June 16, 2021) – The Immokalee Foundation has announced Janet and Jerry Belle and Carol and Tom Joseph as co-chairs of the 2021 Charity Classic Celebration and Don Fites as the chair of the Charity Classic Pro-Am. The events comprise The Immokalee Foundation’s largest fundraising effort of the year.
The Charity Classic Celebration will be held in person on Friday, Nov. 5, at The Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort, Naples. For the first time in Charity Classic history, the Pro-Am is moving to the spring, with a pairings party on March 6 and the golf professional-filled tournament on March 7, 2022.
Janet and Jerry Belle have a long history with The Immokalee Foundation. Jerry is the current chair of The Immokalee Foundation’s board of directors and has served as a mentor for an Immokalee student for the past four years, providing support, encouragement and guidance. Also, the Belles co-chaired the Charity Classic Celebration in 2019, which raised critical funds to support the foundation’s career-based programs for the youth of Immokalee.
Carol and Tom Joseph are active philanthropists both in Naples and Wisconsin. Carol is a new member of The Immokalee Foundation’s board of directors; she and Tom had been named co-chairs with the Belles for the 2020 Charity Classic Celebration, which was ultimately canceled.
The 2021 Charity Classic Celebration promises to be an extraordinary evening, with fine dining, entertainment, and the opportunity to support students through Fund A Dream, a unique live bidding experience that enables donors to contribute to Immokalee’s children in specific and tangible ways.
Don Fites, a long-time passionate and generous supporter of The Immokalee Foundation, is chairing the Charity Classic Pro-Am, which kicks off at Bay Colony Golf Club with an exclusive pairings party, followed by the tournament at The Old Collier Golf Club. The events pair many of golf’s top professional players from the PGA and LPGA Tours with Naples’ leading philanthropic golfers.
